Is this it for you?

Mar 11, 2018

Have you ever asked yourself?:

Is this it?

Is this what the next 20 – 30 years of my life going to be like?

Is this it?

Is this what life is really meant to be like?

Is this it?

Is this amount of money worth doing something I don’t fully enjoy, with people I don’t really like?

I understand, I asked those questions for a long time.

If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions it might mean that you are not living/working according to your purpose, your diving assignment on this earth.

Mark Twain said that there are two important days in your life, the day you are born and the day you realise WHY you were born.

Unfortunately, most people never find the reason why they are born, never take up their divine assignment.

This often translates into job and career dissatisfaction, relationship challenges, money challenges and very often both physical and emotional health issues.

I have been to almost every continent in the world (have not been to Antarctica) and worked with so many people that I have recognised certain patterns. We are all the same essentially and although there are over 7 billion people there aren’t really 7 billion problems, just a few.

I believe that one of the most common root of these few challenges is the lack of purpose. I am confident about this as it is one of my most common tools and methodologies in helping my clients whether it be a health issue, relationship issue, money issue or an anxiety or depression issue. Mastin Kipp, the person who experts say is the next Tony Robbins, recently said that if you are not doing what god placed you here to do, if you have not taken up your divine appointment then don’t take a pill. He was referring to the fact that the lack of purpose leads to depression and anxiety (the top two mental health issues) and that the most common treatment is a pill.

This is not just a big problem, it is an epidemic.

This is not only a problem with adults, it is a serious problem with teenagers and university students. A Penn State University survey published in 2014 and a recently article by Boston University indicate that anxiety and depression are the top two mental health diagnosis of university students.

Unfortunately they have the wrong prognosis for the cause of this, in my humble opinion. They think it is the stress of the work load. I believe that young people are more in touch with their purpose than their parents and us the older generation. But many parents force their children into careers that are not aligned with their purpose. I was speaking with a university professor who has working in two countries where their combined population is over 2 billion and he said that parents forcing their kids into careers based on what the parents believe will be the best chance of earning plenty of money.

Don’t go focusing on your kids alone now. You need to first put on your mask before you put on the mask of your children (airplane safety briefing analogy).

What about you? Were you forced into a career before you could get to choose for yourself? Or did you take the first job that you could get after finishing your degree of program and then turned it into a career?

There is still hope that you can find your purpose and turn it into a financially via business and career. I have found that if you follow your divine appointment, god will provide all the resources for you to be successful. Not only that, you will feel more alive, you will have more fun and enjoyment in your everyday life and you will be happier.

Your greatest fear might be the thought should you find and follow your purpose, will you be able to pay your bills and take care of your family. I say you will but don’t take my word for granted, read and follow the lives of people who have and see what they have been able to accomplish for others in the world and for their own family.
