the pattern first.
I was a C-suite executive at 30. At 38, I felt like there was more to contribute to the world and to more people. So I left and started my coaching and consulting business. I wrongfully thought that my corporate knowledge and 2 Masters Degrees were enough to run a successful service business.
Through the long and hard road I discovered that my coaching and consulting businesses needed a different business model and strategy.
Even when I got the model right, I still did not always execute on it - IÂ discovered that I had hidden patterns that limited how boldly I can execute even the best strategies.
"What I discovered in that season changed everything — the very slow growth I had experienced in the early years were never about my skills or desire. They were driven my ignorance of the need for a specific business model for coaching and services based businesses and by hidden patterns formed long before I walked into a boardroom."
That discovery became a methodology. I was later selected as one of only three founders out of forty to pitch to Kevin Harrington — original shark on Shark Tank — in his private mastermind. What that process sharpened was the ability to see a business the way an investor sees it: clearly, commercially, and without the founder's blind spots distorting the view.
